Welcome to Club Book Baths, a book club for anyone who likes to read books and then listen to other people talk about them!

Each month I will be choosing three new readers to join me as we discuss our book of the month via recorded Zoom session.

My journey to becoming a professional relaxer started a few years ago when my health took a sudden decline. Like other millennials I had become obsessed with the need to feel productive. I was teaching kindergarten full time and working extra jobs as a tutor to help keep ends tied. I was living on fast food and using the little time I had to keep up with my social circles. I didn't realize how badly I had been internalizing stress until I was in and out of the hospital with Crohn's disease flare ups . When I had an emergency surgery in May of 2018 it was a wake up call about the lifestyle I had created.

I reevaluated and shifted my lifestyle to make time for what was important for my health and happiness. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed escaping everyday stresses with a book and a hot bath.

The biggest lesson I learned was the importance of taking care of myself first, and how in turn I would become a better teacher, wife, daughter, friend, fur mama, etc. as a result.
